Dappled began in 2024 by creator, storyteller, artistic designer and cyclist, James Fox.
James combines computational design, speculative storytelling and digital art in order to draw together unseen connections between humans, machine and the enivonment. With over a decade of experience designing projects for other artists, Dappled was born when James was asked to create a piece for Blackpool Light Show, 2024 - He designed, manufactured, produced and installed, ‘Unity’.
James firmly believes in research-based art - working with scientistis (most recently at Kings College on a project called Transcending the Invisible), technologists and communities - to push the boundaries of digitial media.
His work is cross-disciplinary, sitting between the worlds of architecture, installation art and 3D interaction design. With Dappled, James envisions working with like-minded individuals to design and create artwork. He has a range of skills...
