Established in early 2024 by artist and designer James Fox, Dappled Studio is a London studio developing public sculpture, light art and immersive installation that explore the intersection of technology and nature.

After 13 years working collaboratively with other artists and studios across public art and design projects, most recently as Creative Lead at Jason Bruges Studio, James created Dappled to bring his own voice into focus, drawing from a deep well of experience in concept development and technical execution.

The studio was born from a desire to create work that is emotionally resonant, quietly transformative, and responsive to both place and the inner lives of its audiences.

Whether through subtle animations or sculptural forms in stainless steel, Dappled's projects take shape from organic systems and invite reflection and reconnection. Recent commissions include Flight Trace, a permanent sculpture for Belfast Grand Central Station, commissioned by Translink.

Based in Hackney Wick, East London. Available for commissions and collaborative work.
